REALLY SORRY PEOPLE!

I am really sorry readers I have had exams and I just could not update the blog on a regular basis. In fact I could not update the blog at all. So I am sorry to those readers who were actually interested. I will continue this blog but less frequently. Before I was doing it very regularly. My last post was back when Arsenal lost to Blackburn at Ewood Park. Alot has happened since then and it would be ridiculous to try and cover EVERYTHING that has passed to do with Arsenal. Major news as you may all know is that Marouane Chamakh completed his free transfer to Arsenal from Champions League rivals Bordeaux. He is reportedly on a 50,000 pounds a week contract.

Another HUGE saga taking place is the Fabregas saga. Now everyone knows that Barcelona want to be the best team. And now the way they want to get Fabregas has been mainly through the media. They have not formally approached Arsenal yet. Arsenal are very very keen to hold onto Fabregas. Fabregas himself wanted to leave and as he is always surrounded by the Catalonian players at the Spanish National team's training camp, his decision to leave gets stronger by the day. This was until he sat down and talked to Wenger about it. He said it was 'the best conversation I have ever had with someone about my life'. Now only those two know what actually happened between them. But whatever did happen Wenger's words of wisdom have convinced Fabregas to stay put at Arsenal for the time being. He also said that Wenger will be taking care of the transfer deals between Arsenal and Barcelona.

Please keep in touch for more news and I will hopefully continue to run this blog. Thank you for your support people,

Wenger critical of 'unfair' Rovers

After the dismal display at Ewood Park Arsenal succumbed to their 9th Premier League defeat this season. With only a point needed to confirm their third spot, Arsenal seem to be struggling over the line. I personally disliked every minute. Arsenal dominated early periods. But we've heard that many times before this season. Playing pass the ball 900 times just wont work. Someone has to score the goals. Hopefully Chamakh will provide that spark. And Hopefully a better keeper will take over. Fabianski just cannot do it. Wenger however refuses to blame him. Blackburn Rovers 2 - 1 Arsenal

A terrible game for the gunners. 4 defeats from 5 games. Fabianski was appalling. I am not going to comment too much against my favourite team. However these performances simply cannot carry on. Wenger asks for trust. We give it to him. He must deliver with better performances than that. To view the highlights, click play on the following videos:

NOTE: Arsenal's goal is in the post prior to this one. Check the previous post.

Blackburn Rovers 0 - 1 Arsenal

And Arsenal have scored first at Ewood Park! All that possession and pressue on the Blackburn goal has paid off. Nasri delivers the corner and Sagna flicks it onto the far post where it is met by stand-in captain Robin van Persie.

Wenger: Put your trust in me

As it says in the title, Wenger says: 'Put your trust in me'. A very brave line it seems. Wenger still has a big portion of the 37 million pounds obtained from last years sale of Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure. And lets be honest its no surprise numerous players have been linked with a move to the Gunners. Wenger has reiterated in this article that he should be trusted with his buys. And why not? He is arguably one of the most efficient buyers in the market. Whether it be economically or tactically beneficial, Wenger has almost always bought the perfect player. In this article he uses the example of Thomas Vermaelen. I'll be honest with you. I did not have a clue who it was. I was shocked to see a rubbish signing. But he has proven everybody wrong. He has not only established himself in the Premier League as a good goalscoring defender, but he has also earned a place in the team of the year! A great achievement in his debut season. Nasri aims for Pires benchmark

Samir Nasri hopes he can follow the footsteps of former compatriot Robert Pires. With Fabregas injured Nasri has taken the central role and he has been given more freedom in the midfield. He has played well on the flanks and through the middle. However Mr Wenger believes that he should be playing on the flanks and using his 'tricks' to create a good link-up play between the midfield and attack. That strategy really worked against Port when Arsenal smashed 5, including the touch of brilliance that Nasri showed in his solo effort. Nasri, 22, still believe that comparing him to the likes of Robert Pires, an Arsenal legend, is a little bit far fetched. For more on the story click on the following link:

Wenger 'interested' in Joe Cole

Well with Arsenal in a must-buy situation and with Wenger stating that hew may have to add to his squad, it is no wonder that people have linked many players with Arsenal. News has just come out stating that Joe Cole, whos contract expires in the summer, may be on his way to Arsenal! Now he is a good player and personally I wouldn't mind bringing in two free signings. But keep in mind he has been linked with a numerous amount of other clubs including Manchester United. This time lets hope Wenger commits and doesn't let teams like Manchester United take Cole away like they took Chris Smalling away (if you do not know the story behind Chris Smalling moving to Manchester United then forget the previous sentence).
