Nasri aims for Pires benchmark

Samir Nasri hopes he can follow the footsteps of former compatriot Robert Pires. With Fabregas injured Nasri has taken the central role and he has been given more freedom in the midfield. He has played well on the flanks and through the middle. However Mr Wenger believes that he should be playing on the flanks and using his 'tricks' to create a good link-up play between the midfield and attack. That strategy really worked against Port when Arsenal smashed 5, including the touch of brilliance that Nasri showed in his solo effort.
